ABOUT

Wellbeing and Ability, LLC is a single member LLC serving the Knoxville Metropolitan area. My name is Jessica (more about me later) and I've always enjoyed helping others. Through this business, I support older adults and people with disabilities (and their families) through non-medical disability / elder care planning and adaptive wellness (including walking sessions, gentle mobility work, and stress reduction). The two primary service options I offer are as follows:

1. Disability & Elder Care Planning

or

2. Adaptive Wellness Consulting

Some clients I work with for only one service, and others use both services at the same time in succession in the same week. â€‹

Disability & Elder Care Planning

Services are sought when a family needs extra support to manage care needs of a person with a disability or elderly loved one. Sometimes families live out of state and need a local point person who can keep them updated on what's going on with their family member and other times families are stressed and need somewhere to turn for help in navigating complex systems. There are many moving parts when it comes to coordinating and managing care or transitions and a lot of uncertainty. I'm here to reduce your stress and to take on much of the burden of finding answers to questions and navigating systems so you can focus on spending quality time with your loved one, care for other responsibilities, or take a break, because caregiver burnout does happen.

Sometimes it's the clients themselves who may just need help with organizing or coordinating services and have no local family or other supports and need someone to help, which is where I can be of assistance.

Adaptive Wellness

These services are sought because sometimes gyms and trainers who aren't adaptive-informed can be intimidating and often aren't easily able to adapt to someone's disability or aging needs. I take a gentle body-positive, aging, and disability-informed approach to walking, stretching, and balance work. Outdoor walks are not only great for fitness-- they also provide a way to get out into the fresh air and enjoy the outdoors. My years of experience working with older adults and people with disabilities gives me a different perspective into the unique needs and I adapt wellness programs from that knowledge and experience.
